Life Update. As if you care ;)

O my goodness. It has been so long since my last post. I know you all are so sad. lol. not. So super quick update on life:

I'm working 4 part time jobs. But still have evenings and weekends off amazingly. That's mostly because 2 of the 4 are only one day a week. And one is just 2 hours a week -- teaching ballet. It's fun and this time around is a lot better. I learned much in the first go. Lesson #1; Twelve students max. Otherwise, things get out of control. Lesson #2; learn everybody's name and quickly. Lesson #3; sometimes they surprise you with what they can do. But then there is always the trouble maker or two that ruins everything. Sometimes I wish I could kick girls out of my class lol. But that's mean. Luckily the trouble makers have lower attendance.

My other jobs are babysitting three afternoons a week for a family in Salt Lake. It pays well and the hours work perfectly with my other jobs.

Mondays I work at the County for the Zoo, Arts, & Parks program which is awesome. It's seriously the best place ever for networking in the arts world here in SLC. And with a recommendation from Vicki, I could probably get hired anywhere. She is the bomb and everyone knows it.

For the rest of the week, I work mornings at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts as tour coordinator. I love my department and the job itself is pretty cushy. I do wish I had some more responsibility and played a larger role in the department but I'm lucky to be working there and there is room for upward mobility it seems. Two of the six women in our department started where I am now. I figure I have pretty good odds.

Otherwise, I work out a lot and hang out with friends. My most intimate social circle has changed a lot as my old friends have gotten married and are going different places but I've ended up with some truly great friends that I love.

So, that is life. I've also got some travel goals for this year. I have a friend in Cairo and since I have to see the pyramids before I die, I figure now would be a good time to get over there. Hopefully I'll be able to spend a week or two there in the summer. I also want to go to San Francisco with a group of people over Spring Break. And maybe if I have enough moola I will make a trip to New York somewhere in between. I need to find a job that pays better lol so I can finance my appetite for travel. But I am lucky to be living simply and at home so I can save on rent, food, laundry, etc. And since my truck is broken down I pretty much get around for free with my bus pass. I am lucky. Sometimes it sucks living at home but I really do have it good.

Anyways, there will be some fun Halloween events to blog about in the future so maybe I'll start posting again. Peace. ;)
